A Day in the Caves :)

A couple weeks ago B and I were able to go to Linville Caverns! At our churches fall festival last year I won some tickets in the silent auction and we finally decided to use them! It was a beautiful day and it was so enjoyable just to get away for the day!

Brandon loved the thought of taking this picture! It's like something you would see in one of those circulating emails! After the people saw us taking pictures they decided to read the sign and then got off the rocks!

These are pictures of me looking at rocks in the creek :D
Of course since I am taking Geology this semester I had to inform Brandon on why the rocks looked the way they did, what kind of rocks they were, and how the massive boulders ended up in a small trickling creek! "It's because a huge flood came through here a long time ago!"
~p.s. I didn't learn THAT in my Geology class...go figure!

I love this picture! The sun was shining so pretty that day....oh and did I mention that the picture also has a good lookin man in it?!

Anyway, here starts our adventure! I was so excited! I had been to the caverns several years ago, but I didn't remember a whole lot & plus it was our first time going together :)

I love seeing God's handy work! It's so amazing to think that He made all of this without even breakin a sweat! I love how He chooses to use *little* things in His creation (big things to us) to show how MIGHTY and AWESOME He is! Every time I see God's creation and how He fashions it and cares for it...it reminds me of just how much more He care for me! ~Enough to give His Son for!

I really like this picture and the next one too! Everywhere we go I have to get a picture of the two of us together because I just love having those to look back on! I hate asking people to take pictures of us, but I knew if I didn't then I would be leaving regretting it!

After Linville Brandon and I decided to go into Asheville...when we finally got parked we were walking the streets and found this...

You may ask.."what's so special about a statue?" IT'S NOT A STATUE!! I found this quiet interesting, silly, and perplexing all at the same time! He would start moving like a robot and play his guitar then just freeze! Weird...I know! He probably knew too by the look on my face as I walked by him!!

And then what's a better way to end the night than at Mellow Mushroom!? It was such nice weather we were able to sit outside! And let me tell you...it was some good eatin!

Asheville was neat...that's about the only word I could use to describe it! haha I don't think we chose a very good weekend to go because it was Octoberfest or some crazy thing like that. But I did leave feeling like I got enough of Ashville to last me the rest of my life...so I guess that's a good thing? Anyway, we had a great, fun, and beautiful day in the mountains together~that's all that matters :)

Sadie Turns 1!!!!

A few weeks ago was my puppy's first birthday!! I can't believe it...they grow up so fast! haha...okay, I am being a little over dramatic! But, since it was her "first" we had to celebrate, atleast I thought so...Brandon could have probably cared less :)  So, what's a birthday without a cake, right!? I made Sadie her very first dog edible birthday cake!

While I was making her cake, Sadie patiently waited, like a nice little girl, for me to finish! I have to say I don't think she has ever sat that still for so long! I took a ton of pictures cause she just sat there! She knew something was going on! Of course she knew something was going on, I had only been telling her ALL WEEK, "Sadie, your birthday's Saturday!"

This is my favorite picture!

When I was finally done with her cake & wrapping her present she was so excited and ready to get into all of it!! I love the look on her face in the picture on the right!
Sadie- "p.p.please mom? Can I get into it now!?"

Well, we finally gave her some...

 **This picture cracks me up**
Brandon said, "Girls look at me!" And both me and Sadie looked at the same time! She's so smart!! :)

She LOVED her cake! AND her present...

So all was well on Sadie's birthday & she got everything she had asked for: a bone that will last longer than thirty minutes!! Needless to say she was a VERY HAPPY DOG!!!

It's Been A While

Well it has been a while since I have posted so this is a "catch-up" post! I guess I'm gonna explain e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g. that has happened over the last month or so in one brief post...haha! It's not like I'm too busy to post, but when I sit down to write one I get distracted right in the middle of it...then I just keep putting off finishing it :) Anyway, here we go, hold on!!

I suppose I could start with what has been going on all summer! Brandon and I went to the beach in May, once with his parents and another with mine! Here's a few snap-shots to get you filled in!!

When we went with my parents we got to go crabbing!! It was so much fun *watching* everyone! I say *watching* because I was so sunburned I didn't quiet feel like .moving.!! haha-hence the reason I am putting sunscreen on B...

A few weeks after our 3 day trip with my parents, we were able to stay a few days with my in-laws in their camper!! Every year all of B's family goes camping together at the beach and sometimes to Pigeon Forge, TN. We had a great time! On this trip we had a gift certificate for the aquarium~it was soooo much fun!!!

This is one of my w.o.r.s.t. enemies!!! ~~J.E.L.L.Y.F.I.S.H.~~
It seems like everytime I go to the beach I end up getting stung! Thank goodness it didn't happen this trip though!!

In July we were able to go with B's family again, but this time to Pigeon Forge!! It was one of those times where we really wanted to go, but we already had other things planned. But, Friday afternoon everything ended up getting cancelled...so this was a very spontaneous trip!! Saturday we went to Cade's Cove with B's parents--then Sunday...we went to DoLlYwOoD!!!!

It was absolutely beautiful at Cade's Cove!! We were able to see a lot of animals and beautiful mountain scenes!! Things like that always remind me of how GREAT and AWESOME my God is!!

Sunday we were able to go to Dollywood! It was mine and Brandon's first time going together & we had so much fun! Of course, Brandon's *favorite* part was getting to ride the train :)

Well, this was my fun summer! Now school has started back and with our busy schedules we are trying to find a more efficient routine for fixing, eating, and cleaning up after supper, while doing laundry, and taking care of the "baby" :)

Oh the worries of life...haha! If that's all we have to worry about then we are bLeSsEd!!
And we are!!!

Our Little One

A couple weeks after our wedding people started asking when we were planning on having children. One of the most persistent of these people, has been our parents--so here's to them! Their new "grand-dog"!!
This is Sadie Lynn, the newest member of the Rowe family!!

This past Saturday we were finally able to go and pick her up at my parent's house!! The first thing we did when we all got back home was give her a much needed bath!

She did REALLY good in her bath!! A lot better than I expected! After that we got her food and water situated and she found her new little "house"--
Where she very quickly and quietly took a nap!

This cage is her "house" and we have a separate "box" that is for when she gets in trouble! Although the previous pictures make her look so sweet and innocent, don't be fooled!! This picture is a more accurate description of her...

I don't know why she makes this face! She does it all the time when we are walking around the house! I think she does it just to get attention--just like a kid! She is very sweet, but boy does she have her CrAzY side too!! Brittany's are hyper dogs anyway, and we knew that when we decided to get her, but that still doesn't explain why she jumped up ON TOP of our coffee table this morning and why she is constantly trying to RUN AWAY with our LINT ROLLER!! ha!

She's a mess, but we love her!!

Picture Time!

Here recently I have had the chance to take pictures for some of B's band members! This is so exciting for me because I LOVE taking pictures!! It's not anything that I would want to do professionally, but I like it being one of my hobbies! Two Saturdays ago I had two "appointments"! The first was with Jeremy's (B's bluegrass friend) girlfriends daughter!! She was wanting me to take a few Senior pics for her! I was so nervous but we ended up having a fantastic time!

This is K!! She was very sweet and SO photogenic!! That definitely makes taking pictures much easier!!

Even though it was TERRIBLY HOT, we were still able to get some great shots!

Overall, the pictures turned out really good! I kinda surprised myself when I finally got a chance to look at the final photos!!

That's all for now, but in my next post I will put some pics up of the other session I had with my friend A!!!

Truck Race!

Due to the lack of posts, you can assume that nothing REALLY exciting has happened in my life lately! But, like most people everything that is worth posting about happens at once! So be prepared over the next couple weeks!! :) Last Friday Brandon and I got the opportunity to go to a Nascar truck race!! At our church's fall festival last year I saw a gift certificate for a truck race...so I thought that it would be a good gift for Bran! Needless to say it was more like a gift for both of us! I had never been to any kind of race so I had no idea what to expect! Here's a few pics!

At the front gate...getting ready to cross the bridge~

Yep! That's Jeff Gordon's car!! What we didn't know is that before the actual truck race we were gonna get to see the Allstar's Qualifying Race! Even though I am not at all a race fan, I was so excited to get to see the 'big guys" run a couple laps!
One thing's for sure...when you go to the race take your earplugs!! It was AMAZINGLY loud! Just like Brandon said "it's so loud that it will rumble your seats!" Every time they came by I couldn't help but have this awful look of surprise on my face! We were sitting right out of turn four~don't ask me how I know that...it seems that even a race can be somewhat educational!

This is Brandon's sister C~I was so excited that she got to go with us!
There were several wrecks during the race...and little did I know that's what makes the race so exciting! I think there were 9 cautions total by the end of the race, almost enough to tie the record!

And, finally...after 134 laps...the winner did a spin-out! Don't ask me who the winner was...because I have no idea!!! haha!

I had such a great time and I can't wait until the next time! To think that I believed that a race was just a bunch of cars going around in circles...and even though I could have cared less who won...it's definitely an experience I won't ever forget!!
